What is Special Insurance?

Special Insurance is event insurance that provides coverage for hundreds of event types, such as weddings and parties, with competitive pricing and coverage options.

Do you provide coverage for events that continue past midnight?

Yes! We consider those events still to be one day and cover the event until it ends, even if it continues past midnight. Technically your policy ends two days after the start of your event, at 12:01am.

I’m a venue that is looking to add information so I can be listed on your website. Who should I contact?

What if my event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances?

We are happy to provide a full refund if your policy is cancelled prior to the start of the original event date. This can be requested on our site under cancellations.

What if my event is cancelled due to a natural disaster?

We are happy to provide a full refund if your policy is cancelled due to natural disaster. This can be requested on our site under cancellations.

How do I know if my Certificate of Insurance (COI) is legitimate?

In order to ensure COI legitimacy, any policies purchased on or after July 23, 2025 now include a QR code. If the QR code is missing on your COI, please call us immediately at 1-800-310-3351, and then selecting option 2.
